Kirsten grew up in a military family spending most of her youth in California and Alaska. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in May 2003 from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville and began working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Kirsten returned to school to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Saint Louis University (SLU) and transitioned to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She graduated from SLU with her MSN in January 2011.
Kirsten moved to Texas upon graduating and began working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Kirsten and her husband live in Forney with their two sons. She loves spending time with her boys (who keep her on her toes!) and enjoys reading when she has some quiet time to herself.
